Our Top 5 Favorite Conference Talks Of All Time

LDS General Conference Center Full Occupancy

We hope that you enjoyed General Conference last month and felt the Spirit strongly. Every conference, there are particular talks that stand out but also stand out in our minds throughout time. We’ve decided to share our top 5 favorite Conference Talks of all time with you!

We hope you’ll enjoy our Top 5 Favorite Conference Talks!

The Tender Mercies of the Lord – David A. Bednar

This talk is one of the most reassuring reminders that our Heavenly Father is involved in the details of our life — even the small ones.

“I testify that the tender mercies of the Lord are available to all of us and that the Redeemer of Israel is eager to bestow such gifts upon us.”

Temple Worship: The Source of Strength and Power In Times of Need – Richard G. Scott

Elder Scott’s talk not only emphasized the power and blessings of the temple but also offered some insights on how to further benefit from the temple ordinances.

“When we keep the temple covenants we have made and when we live righteously…, we have no reason to worry or to feel despondent.”

Beware of Pride – Ezra Taft Benson

This talk is a power-hitter — perhaps we could even call it the “talk heard round the world”. President Benson’s words serve to remind us of the consequences of being prideful and why possessing humility is so important.

“When pride has a hold on our hearts, we lose our independence of the world and deliver our freedoms to the bondage of men’s judgment. The world shouts louder than the whisperings of the Holy Ghost.”

The Love of God  – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Elder Uchtdorf gives some great instruction as to how we can love God better and be greater disciples of Christ. He also explains why our Heavenly Father loves us and how he has the ability to have unconditional and infinite love for us all

“Love is the measure of our faith, the inspiration for our obedience, and the true altitude of our discipleship.”

Finding Joy In The Journey – Thomas S. Monson

We can always rely on President Monson to tell us a tale or two to help us apply his main message to our own lives. This talk reminds us that the journey is just as important as our destination and not to squander pressure time that could be spent enhancing the lives of those around us.

“Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family.”
